Italian Soy Sauce Marinade – only 2 ingredients!
In my family we eat a lot of chicken… a lot!
My husband is stuck in the back yard grilling most of the time, so we are always trying to find new ways to change up our chicken.
Last summer I dumped 2 ingredients together (hoping for a good outcome) and it was delicious! You can grill it, bake it, or even throw it int he crockpot and I think you will be surprised how full of flavor this marinade is.
The best part… we get both items for CHEAP and even free sometimes with our sales and coupons. Can I get a WOO-HOO?
All you need is 2 ingredients to have yourself on the way to a delicious meal!
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup of soy sauce
- 1/2 cup Italian Salad Dressing
- (This makes enough for about 3 to 5 chicken breasts)
Instructions
- Mix the 2 ingredients together and pour over chicken.
- Allow it to set for about 30 minutes for maximum flavor.
How frugal is this?
We get Kikkoman soy sauce for about $.19 per bottle. In the summer we will be able to snag Salad dressing for $.50 or FREE. That means for less than $1, I will have enough to make about 5 of these marinade mixes. That is CHEAP!
Can you freeze this?
YES!! Take your chicken breasts (or pork or beef) and place in a freezer bag. Then toss in the two ingredients. Freeze. Then you can allow the chicken to thaw (and marinade at the same time) in the kitchen overnight. Or you can toss it in the crockpot frozen.
