I can’t find the Wheat Thins Crunch Stix coupon-it’s not on Facebook. If it was, it’s not now, 3:48 P.M. March 23rd.

We just saved 80% on our groceries this week! My husband and I never used coupons much because we didn’t save enough to make it worth the effort. Then a friend of mine went to your class and now there are 5 of us following your blog and we are all saving money!! THanks so much. I am a State employee and we are looking at possible furloughs this year so you have really REALLY helped us out!!! Thanks again!

I have been doing this since October now and I am super excited to say that January was our best month yet. we are a family of 5 with 2 in diapers and using formula and we have cut the budget from over $900 to $346 last month! This is not just coupon trips but all grocery, toiletries, cleaning, formula and diapers! Our diaper and formula expense will soon get cut down and I am looking forward to cutting down the monthly total even more! There is no way that I could have done this without your blog or your coupon class! Thanks so much for all of the effort you put in to helping others!!

I am moving in 2 weeks and they don’t have Homeland there :( but they do have Kroger. Do you know anyone who does deals like your Homeland deals but for Kroger? Also, are the Walgreen’s and CVS deals nationwide or are they different for the region in which you live?

Christyn B. March 28, 2011 at 11:26 AM

Last Wednesday’s Homeland trip was awesome!! I bought $122 worth of stuff for $31.56!!!! (2 transactions) I have a picture to send too but couldn’t get the email thing to work.

I would like to be on your e-mail list. I was at your class last night and needed an e-mail address specifically for your coupons. I get way too many e-mails on my other address. Lol. Enjoyed your class last night.

This is what you have listed for Walgreen’s Deals:

Renuzits Adjustables $0.79 after in ad coupon
Use $0.55/3 Renuzit Adjustables = $0.33 each coupons wyb 3

How many coupons can you use on this? I’m thinking only one coupon because it says 55 cents off when you buy three. Wouldn’t that make them 61 cents each? If I can get them for 33 cents, please tell me what I need to do.

The bathroom at work always stinks. I was hoping to get the Renuzits cheap!! Thanks for all you do to help us save money!!!

Thanks!
Debbie

Carrie,
Thank you so much for everything you do! I have tried to use coupons in the past and never quite experienced success with it so I easily gave up. This is my second week and I have experienced so much success that I can’t put my expression into words. My first trip to Homeland I got out, with 3 bags of groceres, spending $3.74!!! I just returned from CVS where I was able to purchase: 3-24 packs of bottled water, 2 laundry detergents, 2 boxes of tylenol patches, a bottle of foundation and blush all for 3.79!!!! I am AMAZED! I plan to continue and can’t believe I haven’t done this sooner. :)

I love saving money with coupons. Now I want to find a site or group that does their menu planning based on the deals they find. I know the basics…make your menu according to what you have in your stockpile, etc…, but I want some fresh ideas without having 45,000 choices. Any info you have on this would be so helpful!

Hi Carrie and fellow Couponers! First of all, I would like to thank you so much for all that you do! I went to Homeland last night with my Coupon Buddy and I bought 70 items for $81.04!! I did not take pics and I don’t really have time to list everything, but I have only been couponing for 3 weeks now and I’m exstatic!! I will try to do pics next time. I do have a question though…I put in a new ink cartridge 3 weeks ago to start printing coupons and already need a new one. Do you buy yours at a discount somewhere or is there some way to save money on ink for my printer? I have a HP and the cartridges are usually anywhere from $15-25a piece. I just know that they are not cheap and especially when I have to buy a new one every 3 weeks! I’m not complaining, just curious if there is a cheaper way. Thank you for your time and any one else’s time that may reply.

One Happy Newby,
Brandy

Hey I just read today about swagbucks wich sounds awesome but…… I have been trying to sign up all day and it won’t allow me. I also tried contacting them to let them know that I was having issues starting an account and it wouldn’t allow me to submit my comment via their contact page. I know that you can’t fix it but have you had any issues or heard of anything like this before??
Thanks,
Emily.

Hi! I would like to see Mardel’s coupons on here. Their coupons are few and far between, but they exist. Just recently I used a 25% of one regularly priced item coupon and a 10 feet free lamination coupon, which I found in an advertising insert at Mardel’s. Their prices are up there; so I like to find items on sale or with coupons. Thanks!

I am just now getting into the coupon fun with my mom, but we are moving to Kansas (Overland Park/Leawood area) at the end of August and none of the grocery stores you do shopping lists for are in Kansas, and to say the least I am super sad about this! I did some research and found that Price Choppers will double and triple coupons! :) Then I saw we could request a store so…I didn’t know if you only did stores in Oklahoma or not?!

Reply

Kristen August 23, 2011 at 6:30 PM

Whoops! My post above is incorrect…I think! :( I am just confused! lol I finally saw where is said the Price Chopper I was looking at is not affiliated with the ones in Kansas and MO……so my next question is do you have any tips/ideas/friends maybe that coupon in Kansas and which stores are the best?

Hi Carrie, Just order some extra envelopes!! Wanted to ask if there is a way that I can also get some extra Green envelopes. I take my coupon box with me EVERYWHERE, (you just never know where you can save!!) and would like to use the Green ones for store coupons that I get for places like, Old Navy (clothing stores) , Home Depot, Restaurants, Hobby Lobby, and so on. That way they are seperate from my manufacturer coupons. Plus then all my coupons are always in one place. In my box. Just let me know, Look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you so very much for all you do to help all of us save. Have a Great Day!!

I just went to CVS, bought $48.+ worth of stuff, got it for $18.+ before tax due to couponing and ECBs. I received $13 in ECBs. I did almost as well at Walgreens. This is only my 2nd week of really commiting to couponing so I know it will just get better. I’d like to be able to walk in and pay with just $5-10 (tax and coupon/ECB overages) like you said. I think I’ll get there. I’ve been saving my receipts so I can look at things in about a month. Some of the coupons you list I can’t get to print or they’re no longer available. My stores don’t always have things on sale for the prices you list either. However, I still think I’ve done very well!

Hey Carrie,

I checked to see if you already had this, but I didn’t see it, so I thought I would share it with you. I LOVE Garlic but I hate always having to peel them when I need them. My mom told me about something that she does and it’s a great idea! She takes about 6 or 7 heads of garlic, peels them, and chops them finely (I found using my Magic Bullet works GREAT). She puts them in a ziplock bag, flattens them, and puts the bag in the freezer. Then when she needs garlic, she just pulls it out of the freezer and breaks off a chunk. It’s all chopped and everything! It stays good in the freezer for a little over 6 months. :) I have heard you can do the same with ginger as well. I just did this today and I love it!
