About
Hi, My name is Carrie and I am the owner and author to CouponCloset.net and EatingonaDime.com. First, welcome and I hope you you will stay a while.
A Little about My family:
I have a beautiful family of 6. My husband (and best friend) and I have 3 wonderful boys (a 6 year old and 5 year old twins) and then our princess who is 3. We have been foster parents for 3 years and just adopted our sweet princess this past summer.
Even though we already had a full and happy family with 3 beautiful boys, we felt called to be foster parents and are so happy we are. I could go on and on about foster parentying, why we chose fosters, ad how it has effected our lives… But I will save you all that reading (for now at least). We do plan to either continue to be foster parents and/or adopt more children.

How the Blog was born?
Ok, why did I start dthis blog? It all started with one class. I took a Financial Peace class by Dave Ramsey at my local church, St. Andrews United Methodist Church. We didn’t have a crazy amount of debt, but it still changed the way we thought. I tried to cut down our expenses to help pay off our minivan, but I couldn’t get the grocery budget to budge. We were spending on average a CRAZY amount of $900-$1000 a month. We were shocked, because we really thought we were only spending $500-600. It was VERY frustrating.
I could not get it any lower. Finally, I started couponing… I started REALLY couponing. It grew into a small obsession and I realized that no person or family could live like this… long term. There had to be a better way to get these great savings without it consuming my life. I figured it out! My sole mission now is to help as many people become saavy shoppers like myself while maintaining a normal life.
If you are wanting to save money in several areas of your life, then this is the place for you. If you want a blog to give you more than just deals, then stick around. You will find the best deals to snag, but I will also teach you how to maximize your savings in the minimum amount of time. I am still in awe at how many people are actually using my methods and succeeding at saving money. Thank you so much for reading and following my blogs.

Thank you so much for your help. When I have collected coupons, the generic brand would be cheaper than the item I had a coupon for or I would have to purchas 3 in order to get .25 off! I’m looking forward to learning how to cut my grocery bill.
Regina, You will be amazed how easy it really is to save. I hope you are coming to a coupon class soon.
That’s what I thought. I was very wrong. Couponing is amazing, I now get to pay what I think things are worth which isn’t much.
Luck to you!
Hey Carrie,
For some reason I cannot find a way to email you. I have something I would like to ask you about some coupon stuff but I don’t want it to be public until you have a chance to look at it and make sure it is legitimate. Do you have an email address I can send you an attachment. Also, for tuesdays night class I think as of right now we have some people that have signed up at church for the class to. Alena and I will be ready if more show up and we need more copies of papers. What time will you need me to meet you there to get set up?
Thanks,
Brooke
Thank you so much for your blog. We have went through Financial Peace before a time of unemployment put us into a tail spin, now that we are back on solid ground we are starting our “Baby Steps” to get out of debt. I have been shocked by how much couponing is saving us over the past 6 weeks.
We are a family of 11 so I know all about those questions you get
We have been blessed with 4 boys and 5 girls in 9 years (1 set is b/g twins who are almost 3).
Really enjoy your blog and am looking forward to your coupon class in Cyril in April. I have started couponing just a couple of months ago because we are also in a Dave Ramsey FPU Class…and have been amazed with the savings we’ve already seen. I can’t believe I ever paid full price before!!! I also have a family of 7 so this makes a huge difference in our family as well. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with others…what a great ministry
Thank you for sharing with us! I just learned of your methods yesterday. I made my coupon box tonight and am going to make my grocery list tonight. I’m very excited about learning all the secrets of couponing. I never thought it was worth my time before!! Thank you so much!!!
My mother, sisters, cousin and I went to the coupon class last night in Cyril. We are so excited about seeing this work. I have a family of 8 with (4) 14 year olds, a 12 and 3 year old. We have a set of triplets. God has been so good to us and I can’t wait to be able to share the blessing with others and teach my children how to be good stewards. Thank you for all your giving!
