Green Bag Tag Explanations

There have been several questions about the Green Bag Tag at CVS, so I thought I would do a quick post about it.

The Green bag tag costs $.99. You will find them at the front by the registers where you check out. You will receive $1 ECB for every 4th time you scan it.

That means, if you go shopping at CVS once a week, you will get $1 ECB every 4 weeks. Basically CVS is rewarding you for using a reusable shopping bag instead of one of their plastic shopping bags. How great is that? Just hook it onto your reusable bag that your box is in so you never forget it.

Now let’s say you have 2 Green bag tags -you can still only scan one. You could have them scan them both but you will only get a credit for one scan per day.

Another example might be going to two different stores. Let’s say you run to a CVS to purchase a few things but they were out of something you wanted. You had your bag tag scanned at the first purchase. Then you run to another CVS to buy another item and you have the cashier scan your green bag tag again. It will only give you credit for one scan. Basically you can only earn one scan per day! You can go multiple times in a week and keep earningĀ  if you are crazy like that. šŸ˜‰

I hope that helps everyone understand the Green Bag Tag more. I will have the next CVS class video posted soon, so make sure you are caught up on the CVS Crash Course Videos.
