On the Crescent Rolls…here is something GREAT to do Easter Weekend>
    1. Resurrection Crescent Rolls
    a can of crescent rolls
    melted butter
    large marshmallows
    cinnamon and sugar mixed together

    *preheat oven to 350 degrees
*give each child a triangle of the crescent roll (this represents the cloth that Jesus was wrapped in)
*give each child a marshmallow (this represents Jesus)
*dip the marshmallow in melted butter and then in the spices (this represents the embalming of Jesus’ body)
*wrap up the marshmallow tightly – seal the marshmallow inside (wrapping of Jesus’ body after death)
*place in oven for 10-12 minutes (the oven represents the tomb)
*let the rolls cool slightly (When the children open their rolls, Jesus is no longer there. The marshmallow disappears! He is risen!)

If you’re buying the deal with 2 dozen eggs, also use your coupon for a Free Big Red soda WYB 2 dozen eggs (In insert from 4/17/11, exp. 4/30/11)

I am so excited about this week’s deals. I have two piles of coupons because I’m hitting both stores in Norman tomorrow morning when the kids are at school. I figured that I should only spend about 5 bucks to get about 16 items. (I’m only paying for 6 things, everything else will be free). Yay!

  • Andi -

Thank you, thank you, thank you for your faithful service to the Lord through this website. I know I joke about selfish, crazy coupon ladies, but it is truly a blessing what you do, and I know you do this very selflessly. It makes my life so much easier, and truly I think it is pretty much the only reason I coupon. So, now I’m behind on clipping coupons and desperately need to go to the store, so I’m off to organize and actually considering hitting Homeland before I have to get the kids to school in the morning so they won’t be out of everything and I won’t be disappointed….

    Thanks again!

  • Cindy -

I went to Homeland yesterday to get the good deals before it was over. I bought 10 things for $10.00 I saved 70% off, with coupons etc… I bought the 8 Kraft items and got $4.00 off and then I had coupons also. Not all of my coupons doubled, but I still got a great deal!!!

    Here is what I bought:

    2 Kraft mayo’s
    4 salad dressings
    2 Homestyle macroni and cheese
    1 BBQ sauce
1 can of chicken ( I had to have this for supper, no coupon)

  • Hollye -

So excited about this week’s Homeland deals. Especially since I have been cleared to drive again after my C-section two weeks ago and can actually go shop this week. Not too excited about having to wait until tomorrow to actually hit the stores while my two oldest are at MDO. There is NO way I’m gonna attempt to HL shop as my first outing with all three kids! So, if you live in Edmond and are going to HL today, save some of the deals for me ;o)

  • Carle Brocksmith -

Can anyone give me the zip code for the sugar coupon and for the eggo coupon. I had them up once, but something happened, and I can’t get them back 🙁 Thanks!

  • Amber -

If you have $1 off Secret or Old Spice deoderant coupons (from the P&G coupon book), you can pick up some FREE deoderant this week. They are marked down to $1.99.

    • Amber -

And yes, I meant deodOrant. 🙂

    • Carrie -

The one I have says $1 off 2 items. Was there another one?

      • Nikki -

Amber is talking about the coupon that was in the booklet from P&G with coupons good thru June 30th (some expired at the end of Feb and some will expire the end of this month, but there’s still a set good thru the end of June). Back last fall/winter you had to send in reciepts with $40 dollars worth of P&G stuff to get the booklet. I think you have mentioned it before in previous posts.

Thanks Amber, I was able to pick up some today! 🙂

        • Amber -

Actually, the booklet of coupons I got, I received by just requesting it in January sometime (I remember this because it’s when my friend had just attended Carrie’s class and told me about Coupon Closet). I didn’t have to send in any receipts to get it. But they were all high value coupons like $1/1. I’ve seen bloggers refer to it as the $110 P&G Booklet??? And yes, there were three sets of like coupons in the booklet with expiration dates of Feb 28, Apr 30, and June 30.

  • Catherine Pigg -

A few notes from my trip today (Wed): the Colgate didn’t work for me because of the restrictions on my coupon. None of the varieties on sale are listed on my $1/1 coupon. So that was a bummer, BUT!!! The Turkey Stove Top is on sale for 99 cents — so it is FREE! (I don’t honestly notice a difference between Tky and Chx, so I was thrilled.)

  • Rachael Merritt -

do the coupons in the Spring Flyer double?? I noticed you had Lipton Tea free w/ those. They all say DND. My coupon for the Philly cooking creme from the Spring Flyer did not double for me. Does that depend on the cashier?

    • Amber -

Each coupon within the spring flyer is different. Some say do not double and some do not. For example, the vlasic $1/2, the V8 V-Fusion $.55/1, the Dove VisibleCare $1/1 and the O-Cel-O 3-pk sponges $1/1 are all ones that double. But most of the other coupons say DND. I’ve gotten loads of free tea with the lipton coupons. Mine have not said DND. And does it depend on the cashier? YES. At least that has been my experience. Some pay close attention to that and some do not.

  • Heather -

I noticed at the east side Norman Homeland that the Kraft 2% singles aren’t on sale this week. Bummer as I needed some cheese.

  • Sarah -

Am I looking at the right barcode on the Wheat Thin Stix. The barcode I’m looking at has the numbers 4400025276 and if that’s right all three coupons have th same barcode which means in order for me to get all of them to double I need to do three separate transactions right. Just asking I’m going on my first shopping trip with coupons tomorrow and I want to do it right.

    • Carrie -

you would have to use them all in separate trips in order for them all to double

  • Tara -

For anyone going to the Homeland in Haysville, KS
I tried using the Parkay coupon on the sticks that were on sale and at the check out she told me that the coupon was not working on the sticks of butter and the manager had said they could not take them.

Just heads up for yall… who knows some other cashier might type it in for you, but figured I’d let yall know 🙂

Also the KS Homeland does not carry the wheat thin stix 🙁

  • natalie -

Great trip for me too at Homeland this week.

Got 2 boxes of Lipton tea bags costing a total of $.07.

Next order was 1 bunch of bananas, one Chinet napkins, 2 boxes of tea bags, 3 candy bars, and one dozen eggs. All for a cost of $2.70.

Did my main shopping last night at Homeland and got $44 of groceries for Out of Pocket expense of $16. This was a savings of 77%. I cannot believe I did not coupon before. I am hooked……
