Taco Chili Recipe

Our family wanted chili, but I wanted something else. I decided to come up with Taco Chili. It was a huge hit with the family. They loved it and I got a different variation than just ordinary chili. It has a small kick to it but not too much that the kids didn’t devour it.

Taco Chili Recipe

  • 1 pound ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1/2 onion chopped
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes with green chilis
  • 1 can of tomato sauce (big can) or crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 can of water
  • 2 tablespoons homemade taco seasoning
  • 1 can of pinto beans (ours were homemade from the freezer)
  • 1 can of black beans (or homemade)
  • tortilla chips and cheese for topping

  1. In a pot brown the ground beef.
  2. Add in the onions and cook until soft.
  3. Stir in the beans, seasonings, and the tomatoes and water.
  4. Let simmer for 15 minutes or longer to let the seasonings combine.
  5. Serve with tortilla chips or quesadillas. YUM!
  6. Note: You can also turn this into a crockpot meal - Just brown the meat and toss it all in!
